Two HIGHLY RECOMMENDED Meals in Florence!

I LOVE FLORENCE.
I have been there twice now and I both time I fell in love with this city. The only thing I wish was that I got to stay here longer - really didn’t have that much time to explore and I would have definitely tried so many other restaurants around the city!
But when I was there this past April, I tried two different restaurants with two very unique but extremely delicious meals that I knew I had to share with you all!
Restaurant #1: Trattoria 4 Leoni

4 Leoni is not big and even though they do have a patio, I would recommend making a reservation there. When we went there, we came at a really random time (between lunch and dinner) so it was empty. BUT, they were preparing for an event in their patio area, so if we came later we definitely would not have been able to get a seat.
Side note, I would recommend booking a table at any of the restaurants you want to go in Florence! I think we just found that there were lots of tourists and a lot of the restaurants were pretty booked, so booking a table would definitely give you a peace of mind!
Now why should you go here?
I’ve had many pastas ranging from spaghetti, to tagliatele, to orecchiette, but never in my life have I ever tried pear ravioli.
I know, I know, it sounds pretty weird. The pasta is surprisingly not sweet and though it is savoury, it’s not “salty”. The sauce is extremely delicious, light, and it goes so well with the pasta. Do I know what is in the sauce? Nope. Do I know how they make this pasta? Nope. But what I do know that it is EXTREMELY delicious and I HIGHLY recommend it!!
Also, I tried other dishes like their grilled octopus and it was also really good! So if you are ever in Florence, come to this place!
Restaurant #3: Acqua al 2

So last time I was in Florence I didn’t try the Florentine steak, so I really want to try it this time. So we went to this place to try their…let’s say super interesting steak to say the least.
If someone gives you the menu and BLUEBERRY STEAK was on the list, do you think you would put that on the top of your list to pick? To me, that sounds so weird. Blueberry and steak just doesn’t sound like something that would go together. They also had balsamic steak on the menu, which I think sounds a little bit more promising than its blueberry counterpart.
Friends, you know the saying don’t judge a book by it’s cover? DO NOT JUDGE THE DISH BY THE TITLE. The steak was well cooked and the sauce was so interesting but SO yummy.
If you are in town and wanted to try steak, come to this place and try this super interesting dish!
So there’s my two recommendations for Florence! I know that there are loads more amazing places to try - please comment below so I can keep a list of places I should go to next time I’m in Florence!
