Dearest Family and Friends,

As another year comes to a close, we find ourselves reflecting on the blessings and challenges that have shaped 2024. Through it all, God's faithfulness has been our anchor, bringing us joy and guiding us through each new chapter.

This year has been particularly momentous for Monty. He remains dedicated to his ministry at Sekolah Kristen Ketapang (SKK) in Indonesia while balancing his part-time role at Women's College Hospital in Toronto. While his ministry at IRECT is now on an as-needed basis, his passion for serving the Lord remains unwavering. A highlight of 2024 was undoubtedly his wedding to Ingrid Suria on August 2nd—a joyous occasion that marked the start of their life together. The newlyweds have already embarked on exciting adventures, traveling to Korea, Austria, Croatia, Slovenia, and Montenegro.

Kimberly has had a transformative year as well. After completing another fulfilling school year teaching at Peel, she received offers to pursue a Master’s degree at Oxford, UCL, and the University of Stockholm. In September, she began her journey at Oxford, where she will be pursuing an MSc in Child Development and Education. Her time there has been both inspiring and enriching, filled with new friendships, intellectual pursuits, and opportunities to serve at her new church in Oxford. We’re thrilled to have her home for Christmas before she heads back to England in January.

For Jennifer, Adriel, and Teddy, 2024 has been a year of milestones. Teddy turned two and continues to amaze us with his rapid growth and learning. He speaks in full sentences, sings along to songs, and even recites some Bible verses. His lively personality and impressive memory bring endless joy to our home. This July, Jen traveled to Indonesia for the big wedding, while Adriel held down the fort with Teddy in Canada—a first for their little family. Amid the flight delays and unexpected layovers in Calgary, the experience was one to remember. Both Jen and Adriel celebrated their 30th birthdays this year, marking the beginning of a new decade with gratitude and anticipation for what lies ahead.

As we celebrate this season of love and hope, we’re reminded of the peace that God gives, even amidst life’s uncertainties. Our prayer for you is that His joy and grace overflow in your lives this Christmas and into the New Year.
