PAST: 30 by 30

a couple of years ago, someone told me about an individual that they knew who has this goal: to visit 30 countries before they turn 30. When I heard about that, not only did it intrigue me, but I automatically knew that this is a goal I also wanted for myself.

I love travelling. I love getting all packed up, going to the airport, and getting that giddy feeling that you're going to be going somewhere else for a couple of days or weeks or whatnot. I love getting to experience a new place/atmosphere, seeing new things, meeting new people, learning and immersing myself in a new culture, and of course trying new food. I thank (and blame) my parents for this passion of mine. I'm super blessed that even when I was very little, they would take me around to new places and let me experience all these new cultures. I think my parents wanted me to see and experience the beauty that God has made and also His love through different people that we met. I honestly believe that travelling at a young age helped in someway shaped me to be the person I am today. And really, I hope I can continue to do so and take my own kids around the world, whenever that time comes.

So this 30 by 30 goal just seemed to fit for me! It would be a blessing and wonderful opportunity if I would be able to visit 30 countries before I'm 30. Where do I stand you might ask? Well I'm about to list the countries that I have visited, so that you can keep me accountable as I add on to the list!
