Summer Travel Plans!
Hello Summer! FINALLY!
It’s been quite a chilly AND rainy May, so I am loving all this sun and warm weather right now.
So I wanted to update you all the travel plans for this summer! I originally thought that I am sticking around town/Kingston area this summer due to school. It turns out though that I get a WHOLE MONTH OFF! So really, the program is not a full 16 months, but hey I’m not complaining because I get to travel & spend time with family this summer!
So where am I going? Am I hitting some new countries this summer?
The answer to the second question is no, I am not. BUT I am going to visit some really awesome places for the second time (including one of my FAV places), a couple of new cities, AND visiting some really amazing people!!
So I have a cousin currently living in Bangkok with her family. Last time I went to Bangkok, my cousin was in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and I was able to visit them during my Asia Adventure trip with Sam (read all about that here). This time around, we’re going to Bangkok to visit family which will be super awesome and my sister, Jen has never been there before so I’m stoked for her to experience Thailand for the first time!
We will also be visiting Vietnam this summer - that same cousin and her family will be moving to Ho Chi Minh City, so we are tagging along and visiting Vietnam as well. I’m super excited because
I have never been to Ho Chi Minh before, so this is going to be a cool first for me. I’m also super excited to try Com Tam or broken rice in HCMC which is THE place to go to eat that. Sam and I tried finding good Com Tam in Hanoi but failed.
We’re going to one of my favourite places that I’ve visited in Asia: Hanoi! If you haven’t read about my trip to Hanoi a couple of years ago, you can read it here. I LOVED Hanoi so much and I can’t wait to go again. It will be my sister, my dad, and my extended family’s first time in Hanoi, so I am so stoked to show them some of my favourite places there!
Hello Halong Bay - so excited to visit this beautiful place again!!!
We’re going to visit Da Nang/Hoi An, which apparently is really well known for the food…and y’all know that I love food.
